Nine voters listed him fourth, and 10 placed him fifth. Lowry finished seventh in the previous season with no first-place votes. NHL insider Murat Ates disagrees with the standings, placing Lowry all the way at third.

Loading from Twitter ...

First-place votes are worth 10 points, seven for second, five for third, three for fourth, and one for fifth. Barkov polled the most of any candidate with 96 first-place votes and totaled 1,363 points.
Lowry had a career-best plus/minus season with the Jets
Lowry registered a career-best plus-18 rating this season, holding down a checking line that was tasked with shutting down visiting stars. He also registered a personal best 16 goals and added 18 assists in his 11th NHL season, all with Winnipeg. In the playoffs, the 32-year-old scored four goals and posted a plus-2 mark in 13 games. Following the postseason, Lowry underwent hip surgery and should miss the start of next season.
