Viral clip leaks showing Danny Zhilkin learning he's joining the Jets at the barbershop

Edmonton Oilers defenseman Evan Bouchard had a show to remember after notching a goal and an assist to lead his Edmonton Oilers to a 4-3 victory over the Winnipeg Jets in Thursday's game.

Edmonton's Connor McDavid contributed a goal and an assist to this victory, while Zach Hyman and Vasily Podkolzin also scored. Netminder Calvin Pickard made 13 saves out of 16 to secure this win.

The Jets (15-22-5) scoring came from Josh Morrissey, Tanner Pearson, and Kyle Connor, but their 3-1 advantage was short-lived as they extended their 11-game winless skid.

Thursday's loss established a Jets NHL record, according to Sportsnet Stats, with 13 consecutive losses in one-goal games.

Winnipeg dominated the first period, outshooting Edmonton 11-7 and taking a 3-1 lead. The turning point came in the second period, in which the Oilers outshot the Jets 12-3, scoring one goal, and then two more in the third.

The eventual game-changer came with a goal by McDavid late in the second period, with only 21 seconds remaining, pushing his point streak to 17 games, with a total of 18 goals and 41 points.

But not everything was bad news in Winnipeg. There is footage of young player Danny Zhilkin in a barbershop, discovering he has gotten the call to the NHL, a glimmer of light in an otherwise cold season.

Zhilkin finished his NHL debut with 6:55 of ice-time but was +1 on the night. He will also be receiving a $5,000 fine from Gary Bettman for taking the pregame warmup lap without a helmet.

Winnipeg will next play the Los Angeles Kings on Friday, and the Oilers will also be facing the Kings next on Saturday.
