For the second straight game, Connor Hellebuyck was pulled from a game and benched, and Scott Arniel has quite a bit to say about it after Game 4. The Winnipeg Jets pulled Connor Hellebuyck for the second time in a row after he yielded five goals on 18 shots in Sunday's 5-1 Game 4 loss to the St. Louis Blues. Eric Comrie substituted for Hellebuyck at the beginning of the third period after Robert Thomas scored St. Louis' fifth consecutive goal. Hellebuyck was also removed from Game 3 after giving up six goals on 25 shots. His series save percentage slipped to .817, the second-worst among playoff goalies aside from the Oilers' Stuart Skinner (.810). Despite the woes of Hellebuyck, Jets coach Scott Arniel has faith in his ace goalie. I'm 100% confident in Connor Hellebuyck, he said, per NHL.com's Tracey Myers. His resume speaks for itself. Arniel added: At the end of the day, we need to be better in front of him. We need to let him see some pucks. There were a couple there we didn't let him see. There's things that we have to do to help him. He knows he has to do things that help us. And that's how it's been all year long.

Loading from Twitter ...

Loading from Twitter ...

Hellebuyck has a worrisome trend of struggling in the playoffs
This is the third consecutive postseason that Hellebuyck has had trouble getting started. In the last two playoffs, he compiled a .875 save percentage over 10 games, with Winnipeg being ousted in the first round after five games in both years. However, Hellebuyck is the bet-on-favorite to capture his third career Vezina Trophy, and second in a row, after an MVP-quality regular season. He led all NHL goaltenders in wins (47), goals-against average (2.00), shutouts (eight), and goals saved above expected (49.48, according to Evolving-Hockey), and was second in save percentage (.925). The series, now 2-2, goes back to Winnipeg for Game 5 on Wednesday..
