Tonight, a new report from NHL insider David Pagnotta has indicated that Jets' head coach Scott Arniel is on thin ice after potential player unrest.
The Winnipeg Jets have had likely the most surprising season of any NHL team going from President's Trophy winners last season to now last place in the Western Conference in January.
The Jets season got off to a rocky start early with injuries to key players including captain Adam Lowry and goaltender Connor Hellebuyck.
However, even since returning to full health the Jets have struggled to find their way winning just 16 games out of their 43 opportunities so far this year.
The lack of results now has many questioning the leadership abilities of head coach Scott Arniel.
Now, reports have indicated that even Arniel's own players are beginning to lose faith in their bench boss.

According to NHL insider David Pagnotta, recent reports out of Winnipeg have suggested that some players have begun tuning out Arniel after the horrid recent results.
There are question about Scott Arniel's future; there's been some chatter around the team about...maybe they are starting to tune him out because frustrations are boiling over - David Pagnotta DFO Rundown (1/7)
If this is the case, then Arniel has clearly lost control of the situation and a change in staff could be coming sooner rather than later to try and get the season back on track.
The Jets currently sit 9 spots out of a Stanley Cup Playoff spot and while a turnaround is unlikely the team could respond kindly to a big move like the replacement of a head coach.
As this situation continues to develop we will pass along all of the latest details on the Jets season and Arniel's future.
