Tonight, Winnipeg Jets forward Mark Scheifele gave some major praise to his teammate Logan Stanley for his offensive surge this season.

The Winnipeg Jets have endured an incredibly frustrating season to this point as the new year rolls around.
However, even with that frustration and lack of improvement in the standings there have been some unusual bright spots with players stepping up into bigger roles.
One such example is defenseman Logan Stanley who currently has 15 points in 45 games which is by far the highest mark of his career to this point.
It seems that with the lack of success this season head coach Scott Arniel has really had to lean on players he knows he can trust and that now includes Stanley.
In the aftermath of Stanley's improvement Mark Scheifele made sure to give the veteran defenseman a fantastic compliment during his latest media scrum.

During Scheifele's latest media availability, he was incredibly complimentary of Stanley admitting he always knew the defensive minded blueliner had more potential for offense within him.
Now, Scheifele says he looks on as a proud dad in a way seeing Stanley reach that potential he has always had.
Not gonna lie. I've always seen it in him. I've always been a big Stan fan. He's been a guy that I love to work on things with and see him grow. And, I'm like a proud dad for him.
Even with the lack of success in the standings Stanley's improvement and consistent play at both ends of the ice is something that can hopefully carry forward to the rest of this season and beyond as the Jets look to claw their way back into Stanley Cup Playoff contention.
