The dates have been set, and the Jets and GM Kevin Cheveldayoff have to work quickly to sign Dylan Samberg before he heads to arbitration on July 30th.

The NHL has scheduled arbitration hearing deadline dates for seven pending cases, according to PuckPedia:
- Kaapo Kakko (Kraken): July 25
- Arvid Soderblom (Blackhawks): July 28
- Maxim Tsyplakov (Islanders): July 29
- Dylan Samberg (Jets): July 30
- Conor Timmins (Sabres): August 2
- Nicholas Robertson (Maple Leafs): August 3
- Jayden Struble (Canadiens): August 3
Of the 11 player-elected arbitration cases, these seven are the only ones still outstanding.

NHL insider Mike McIntyre believes the Jets and Dylan Samberg will agree on a deal

Winnipeg had already reached an agreement with Morgan Barron (two years, $3.7M) and Gabriel Vilardi (six years, $45M).
"I fully expect that won't be a problem."

- Mike McIntyre
Anaheim settled both its cases, signing Drew Helleson to a two-year contract ($2.2M) and Lukas Dostal to a five-year, $32.5M contract.
Team-elected arbitration cases, Buffalo's Bowen Byram and the Mammoth's Jack McBain, have also been settled.
Teams and players may continue negotiating until the hearing starts. Then, the arbitrator's ruling is binding. The arbitrator may only give one or two-year contracts.
Because these were player-elected cases, teams have the right to choose the contract length after getting the arbitrator's ruling on the AAV.
However, only Nicholas Robertson, Arvid Soderblom, and Jayden Struble are eligible for two-year awards; the others are one year away from unrestricted free agency and are limited to one-year contracts.
If the arbitrator's award exceeds $4.85 million, teams can walk away, and the player is an unrestricted free agent.
