After finishing the season as the favorite to win the Vezina Trophy and the winner of the Jennings Trophy for best goals against average expectations were high for Hellebuyck. Despite his impressive regular season success some were hesitant to believe in him heading into the playoffs due to his past struggles. This evening those who had their doubts have seemingly been proven correct as Hellebuyck has been pulled for a second game in a row against the St. Louis Blues.
Connor Hellebuyck Reaches An All-Time Playoff Low
After struggling to find success the Winnipeg Jets found themselves on the wrong side of a blowout heading into the third period down 4-1. If the Jets are going to get back on track Hellebuyck will need to find his game and his confidence again. If Hellebuyck continues to struggle then the Jets historic regular season will end up being all for nothing at the end of the day.
