With the Stanley Cup playoffs fast approaching the Washington Capitals found themselves in another must-win game. Just minutes into the game the outcome became secondary as defenseman Nick Jensen suffered a serious injury. After he landed on the ice he lay there motionless until medical personnel arrived.
