The Vancouver Canucks Officially Re-Sign Brock Boeser

The Canucks have signed forward Brock Boeser to a seven-year, $50.75 million contract to keep him in Vancouver for the long run, according to TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun. The deal carries an average annual salary of $7.25 million.

Boeser, age 28, had 25 goals and 50 points in 75 games with the Canucks last season. That was definitely a step back from his career-high.

There was a lot of drama in the Canucks locker room last season, which could have definitely played a factor in the dip in Boeser's production, as well as the constant talk surrounding his possible contract extension.

His career season came in 2023-24, which saw him register 40 goals and 73 points in 81 games. The 6-foot-1 winger is coming off a three-year, $19.95 million contract that carried a cap hit of $6.65 million, so this is quite the bargain for Vancouver.

Boeser was drafted 23rd overall by the Canucks in 2015, and has 204 goals and 434 points in 554 career NHL games.

The Burnsville, Minn., native represented the Canucks twice at the NHL All-Star Game in 2018 as well as in 2024, and was named tournament MVP in 2018.
