NHL analyst Chris Johnston has revealed the three teams interested in trading for Elias Pettersson, who is still with the floundering Vancouver Canucks for now.

There isn't much going right for the Vancouver Canucks right now, who have sunk to the bottom of the standings not only in the Pacific division but in the Western Conference.
It's a complete contrast to where they were at this point two years ago, when they were on their way to winning the division and eventually advancing to Game 7 of the Western Conference Semifinal against the Edmonton Oilers.
There have been multiple changes since then, not the least of which was the trade of JT Miller to the New York Rangers and head coach Rick Tocchet's departure during the summer. Oh, and captain Quinn Hughes was traded to the Minnesota Wild.
Multiple players are still involved in trade rumours, Elias Pettersson being among them. Per a new report from NHL analyst Chris Johnston, there are at least three teams interested in trading for Pettersson:
The Chris Johnston Show (Jan 15): CJ says could see Carolina, Los Angeles and Detroit all having interest in Elias Pettersson. Contract will be tough to move and a trade would have risk involved because of it. - NHL Trade Alert
Pettersson still has six years left beyond this one with an AAV (average annual value) of $11. 6 million left on his deal.

Elias Pettersson Has Joined Multiple Vancouver Canucks Players in Trade Rumours

The Canucks, who already traded Quinn Hughes to the Wild last month, are reportedly on the verge of moving names like both Kiefer Sherwood and Conor Garland.
Pettersson has since joined the list of names that could soon be traded from the Canucks, along with Jake DeBrusk.
Pettersson, who the Canucks took with the fifth overall pick in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft, has 28 points (13G, 15A) in 38 games so far this year.
