Tonight, a new report has suggested that two Western Conference teams are considering acquiring Evander Kane at the trade deadline.

The Vancouver Canucks have dived headfirst into a rebuild with GM Patrik Allvin and President of Hockey Ops Jim Rutherford confirming the team was going to trade veterans.
One veteran that has now come to the forefront as a trade piece is 34 year old power forward Evander Kane.
With Kane's name surfacing as a potential deadline target, NHL insider Kevin Weekes has confirmed two teams have shown serious interest in acquiring him.

Evander Kane linked to two Western Conference teams by insider Kevin Weekes

In a new post on X, Kevin Weekes of ESPN has confirmed that the Colorado Avalanche and Dallas Stars have both expressed interest in acquiring Evander Kane from the Canucks.
Per multiple sources, I'm told the Dallas Stars and Colorado Avalanche are among the likely destinations for Vancouver Canucks F Kane via potential trade. #HockeyX
Kane, 34, has 23 points in 49 games which is an impressive feat for the veteran considering he missed the entirety of the regular season in 2024-25 due to injury with the Edmonton Oilers.
With Kane being a rental forward on the market and his career nearing its end it is unclear exactly what the Canucks could get back for him.
They likely will be unable to get an A-tier prospect or a first-round pick but could get multiple intriguing pieces to jump start their rebuild.
As more information is provided on Kane's future in Vancouver and beyond we will pass the latest details along to you.
