This afternoon, former Vancouver Canucks forward Ryan Kesler is going viral on social media for a fun moment during a recent Detroit Tigers and Seattle Mariners game.

With the NHL season over and the offseason in full swing focus for many people around the world has shifted to other sports and in particular baseball.
The MLB is the only North American major sport currently in play and recently former Canuck Ryan Kesler was seen in Detroit at a Tigers game.
During the game against the Mariners Kesler made headlines after catching a home run ball hit by Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh.

Ryan Kesler Goes Viral For Hilarious Interaction During An MLB Game

The homerun gave Raleigh his league leading 38th of the year.
After catching the ball, Kesler with the support of the Tigers crowd seized his moment to go viral throwing the ball back into the field of play.
This move from Kesler led to a viral social media moment that trenscended the hockey community.
Kesler from Livonia, Michigan played 15 years in the NHL 10 of which came with the Vancouver Canucks during some of the best seasons in franchise history.
Despite Kesler's actions to get the crowd back into the game the Mariners would rout the Tigers 12-2 during yesterday's contest.
With his new found fame it will be interesting to see if Kesler is spotted enjoying a Tigers game again soon as the offseason continues.
