Following comments from Canucks president Jim Rutherford, NHL analyst Elliotte Friedman provides insight on the possibility of the Hughes brothers playing together.

The Vancouver Canucks feature one of the top defenseman in the NHL on their blue line with captain and current Norris Trophy holder Quinn Hughes.
But hockey fans know he's not the only Hughes in the League; both Jack and Luke play for the New Jersey Devils.
Canucks president of hockey operations Jim Rutherford raised eyebrows after his recent comments that many considered to be tampering when speaking about the potential of all 3 Hughes brothers playing together.
It may not boil down to money with him. He's said before he wants to play with his brothers, and that would be partly out of our control; in our control, if we brought his brothers here.

We got to be careful with tampering here, so we'll just leave it at that. I probably crossed the line anyways.

During his recent 32 Thoughts segment, NHL analyst Elliotte Freidman shot down any possibility of Jack and Luke being traded to the Canucks to play with Luke any time soon.
I think the New Jersey Devils know Jack Hughes and Luke Hughes aren't really eager to be traded to the Vancouver Canucks.
Quinn Hughes and the Canucks missed the playoffs a year after winning the Pacific Division, while Luke and Jack Hughes (the latter of whom is hurt) are trailing 2-0 to the Carolina Hurricanes in their Round 1 postseason series.
