Today, Vancouver Canucks star Elias Pettersson spoke to the media and admitted he was out for revenge after a disappointing season in 2024-25. Last season the Vancouver Canucks were an absolute mess beginning with the conflict between Elias Pettersson and J.T. Miller that eventually led Miller to be traded to the New York Rangers As the season went on, it became clear that Pettersson and head coach Rick Tocchet were also not getting along leading Pettersson to struggle mightily. Pettersson ended the season with just 45 points which was over a 40 point drop in production from the previous season. During the offseason, Tocchet was eventually replaced by new head coach Adam Foote and Pettersson set out to get healthy with a fresh start. Today, in a new interview, Pettersson gave an update on his health and motivation heading into next season.
Elias Pettersson Reveals He Is Out For Revenge After Disappointing Season
During the interview at Team Sweden's Olympic Training Camp, Pettersson did not hold back his frustration from last season and confirms he is using it as motivation to improve.

Loading from Twitter ...

Loading from Twitter ...

If the Canucks are going to get back to the Stanley Cup Playoffs they will need Pettersson to return to the 90 plus point player that the world knows he can be. Pettersson adding strength and even the proper amount of anger and frustration over next season could lead to a monster rebound season in 2025-26 with Adam Foote at the helm. With training camp just around the corner all eyes will be on Pettersson to see if his on-ice performance can back up the talk he has been doing this summer.
