Elias Pettersson lashes out at the media after being asked about his conflict with J.T. Miller

Last night a report from Elliotte Friedman revealed that the conflict between Pettersson and Miller remains a big problem in Vancouver.

The Friedman report was the latest in a saga that has built over the last week beginning with former Canucks head coach Bruce Boudreau confirming this feud has gone on for years.

Then, current Canucks captain Quinn Hughes revealed that the conflict had impacted the locker room and they were working through the problems together and trying not to let it impact on-ice performance.

Now today Pettersson himself had an opportunity to speak to the media and he was asked about the reports surrounding him and Miller.

Instead of providing context to the situation Pettersson tried to avoid the question and then lashed out at the media.

First when being asked about the conflict Pettersson tried to deny that there was a problem alleging all of those who have spoken on the matter of making things up.

When the media decided that answer was not good enough a reporter asked a follow-up question at which point Pettersson lashed out in frustration and refused to answer another question on his relationship with Miller.

With Pettersson refusing to be upfront about the situation it seems that he has now further fanned the flames of controversy and we could see this situation get even worse before it improves for the Canucks.
