The Vancouver Canucks released a new jersey that has a connection to the old Grizzlies NBA team, and it will cost over $400 plus tax to get your hands on one. The Vancouver Canucks are reverting to their retro style with Grizzlies-themed gear, but a piece of it won't come cheap. The team has launched a new line that blends the Canucks and part of the former Vancouver Grizzlies logos. The list includes jerseys, hoodies, shirts, toques, and hats, all of which feature a unique combination of the two brands. These items have been on sale at Rogers Arena for several days but are now officially on sale at VanBase. The icing on the cake, so to speak, is the mashup jersey available in both white and black, starting at $400 plus tax, and even higher if you want a player's name on it.

To put this in perspective, that's nearly four times greater than the lowest ticket available for any remaining Canucks game this year. The lowest remaining ticket available is for the April 2 game against the Seattle Kraken, which starts at $89.54, a quarter of the price of the mashup jersey. Fans are not happy one bit about these prices and have made their voices heard on social media.

For those who don't want to spend as much, other products in the series are cheaper. A T-shirt costs $75 (some still might find that high for simply a shirt), and a toque will cost $60 (it better be warm).
These jerseys are actually cheap when compared to last year's release
Though $400 for a jersey might be a sticker shock for some, it's actually less than some of the Canucks' previous specialty releases. Last year's Lunar New Year jersey cost a staggering $888, with final prices coming close to $1,000 after taxes. Insanity! Although the Grizzlies left Vancouver in 2001, their legacy lives on. The Memphis Grizzlies have revived the old jerseys many times, including for some games this year.
