Sheldon Keefe and Devils could look to trade for Leafs Calle Jarnkrok
A new rumor has connected the New Jersey Devils and their new head coach Sheldon Keefe to a trade involving the Toronto Maple Leafs and Calle Jarnkrok.
The New Jersey Devils and Toronto Maple Leafs are each beginning new eras under a new head coach. The Toronto Maple Leafs hired Craig Berube to be their new bench boss while his predecessor Sheldon Keefe was hired by the New Jersey Devils.

After this pair of hirings a new rumor has suggested that Sheldon Keefe and the Devils might look to poach a Maple Leafs depth forward. According to this source, Sheldon Keefe was a big fan of Calle Jarnkrok and could look to acquire him this summer.
I could see NJ asking about Jarnkrok.

At the moment there are no official talks between the teams. However, this is a trade that could benefit the Toronto Maple Leafs if they pull the trigger. Getting rid of a depth player for future assets clears room for younger players or players that Craig Berube prefers. It would also give the Maple Leafs an opportunity to continue filling their prospect pool.
