Florida Panthers fans, who defeated the Toronto Maple Leafs 5-2 for the Atlantic Division title, feeling pretty good about their team's win and success against the Leafs, decided to have a little fun at their opponent's expense. Last season, when the Panthers made it to the playoffs, Maple Leafs fans were chanting we want Florida because they thought it would be an easy matchup. Well, turns out, it didn't quite go as planned for them. The Panthers ended up sending the Leafs packing in five games, and their fans were left eating their words. Fast forward to tonight, and the Panthers fans decided to give the Leafs fans a taste of their own medicine. With the game pretty much in the bag for the Panthers, the crowd started chanting we want Florida, throwing some shade at their opponents.

Loading from Twitter ...

Despite all the banter, the Leafs and the Panthers won't be facing off in round one.

Loading from Twitter ...

The Leafs are going head-to-head with the Boston Bruins, while the Panthers will be facing their inner-state rivals, the Tampa Bay Lightning. Who knows? Maybe the two can meet in round two.
