It may be the end in the NHL for defenseman Tony DeAngelo
The end may be near for NHL defenseman Tony DeAngelo as he may be signing in the KHL with SKA St. Petersburg.
It was reported earlier Saturday afternoon that first round pick defenseman Tony DeAngelo may be having his time in the NHL cut short, as he is linked to a move to the KHL where he will be playing for the SKA St. Petersburg overseas
DeAngelo was always a controversial topic in the NHL world, with a dispute with his former teammate and goaltender Alex Georgiev back in his days with the New York Rangers. DeAngelo struggled to remain consistent despite his amazing offensive ability and his drive to lead a powerplay in the National Hockey League.
DeAngelo also seeked many disciplinary repercussions, with one of them in 2017 where he verbally abused an NHL official leading to a suspension during his days with the vacant Arizona Coyotes.
In 371 career NHL games with the New York Rangers, Arizona Coyotes, Carolina Hurricanes and Philadelphia Flyers, DeAngelo has scored 48 goals with 162 assists.
