Ottawa Senators recall Zack Ostapchuk to deal with Rangers Matt Rempe

The Ottawa Senators season is all but over, but that doesn't mean they're going down without a fight as they prepare to face Matt Rempe and the New York Rangers.

Matt Rempe has taken the NHL by storm in his rookie campaign, and while he's slowed down significantly on the fighting, that doesn't mean teams still aren't planning for him. Now, ahead of a late season clash, the Ottawa Senators have done exactly that, as they have recalled Zack Ostapchuk as a physical threat to deal with the gigantic 6-foot-7 Rempe.





If Ostapchuk is indeed used to drop the gloves with Rempe, it wouldn't be the first time, as the St. Albert and Calgary natives did battle in the AHL a few years ago in an entertaining tilt.



It's no guarantee, but if things get out of hand in this matchup, it would be no shock if these two dropped the gloves again, which would make for an incredibly entertaining matchup.
