The Minnesota Wild have put forward Tyler Pitlick, a former 2010 NHL Entry Draft pick of the Edmonton Oilers, on waivers, putting the future of his NHL career in doubt.

It looks like the NHL career of Minnesota Wild forward Tyler Pitlick could be in doubt after he was recently placed on waivers.
He's now up for grabs by any of the other 31 NHL clubs for the next 24 hours, and if he isn't claimed, he'll be sent to the American Hockey League affiliate Iowa Wild.
He was one of two players to hit the waiver wire today, as the Philadelphia Flyers also put defenseman Adam Ginning on waivers.
So far this year with the Wild, his hometown team as a Minneapolis native, Pitlick has zero points in 15 games while averaging just under eight minutes of ice time per game.

Tyler Pitlick Is A Former Pick Of The Edmonton Oilers In The 2010 NHL Entry Draft

Pitlick, who played at Minnesota State University and with the Medicine Hat Tigers of the WHL, was taken with the 31st pick in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft by the Oilers, and would soon sign an entry level contract with the club.
He would mostly split his time between the Oilers and the AHL affiliate Bakersfield Condors, and his best year with Edmonton was when he had 11 points (8G, 3A) in 31 games in 2016-17.
He then signed a three year deal with the Dallas Stars, and would play in a Stars sweater until he was traded to the Philadelphia Flyers for Ryan Hartman in 2019.
Pitlick has played for multiple organizations since then, including stops with the Arizona Coyotes, Calgary Flames, Montreal Canadiens, St. Louis Blues, New York Rangers and Boston Bruins.
He signed with the Wild this past summer on a two year, two way contract.
He's played in 435 NHL games and has 109 points (53G, 56A).
