President of Barstool Sports Dave Portnoy picks the Oilers to win Cup

Dave Portnoy, President of the famous media brand Barstool Sports, has been on a heater picking champions recently, and now he has weighed in on his pick for a Stanley Cup winner.

There have likely been thousands of bets placed on who people think is going to win the Stanley Cup over the last few weeks, however, none are more important than Dave Portnoy's. Portnoy has been on a betting win streak, picking both the Masters Champion and the NCAA March Madness winner. He claimed just a few days ago that he would also be betting on the winner for the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Now, the pick is in, as he stated on his social media. He has chosen the Edmonton Oilers to win the Cup.






Interestingly, Portnoy also stated that he would hedge out of his bet if the Oilers were to play the Bruins in the finals. Portnoy is a famous Boston sports fan and has been vocal about his fandom with the Bruins for some time. However, he has also been vocal about not hedging his bets.


Portnoy will join Oilers fans on the hype train as they take on the LA Kings. However, they will have to wait until Monday for game one.
