This season Connor McDavid has gotten off to a slow start for the Edmonton Oilers leading fans to share their frustration and anger toward him.

Coming into the NHL season, the Edmonton Oilers were expected to go as far as their offense could carry them.
Before the season began, Connor McDavid's contract talks dominated the headlines distracting from the team's lack of additions.
In past seasons, this strategy had gotten the Oilers to the Stanley Cup Finals two years in a row before falling to the Florida Panthers.
Unfortunately, the Oilers offense including McDavid and Draisaitl who have gone from top five players in the game to just star level production.
In response to these struggles from their offense fans have taken to social media to absolutely rip into McDavid.

Fans Call Out Connor McDavid For Failing to Live Up to Expectations

After the Oilers awful start to the year that has them outside a playoff spot early, fans are letting Kris Knoblauch and the players know things are not good enough right now.
In particular, fans have been frustrated with Connor McDavid over the last week or so for not being aggressive enough when it comes to his shot.
Even Oilers reporter Jason Gregor has been critical of the team's big three trio and their play at 5 on 5.
McDavid is one of the best playmakers and passers in the NHL but when he is aggressive shooting the puck it makes setting teammates up easier as well.
This is evidenced by the fact that in all of his best seasons McDavid is hovering between 45 and 60 goals while putting up well over 100 points.
However, this season, McDavid has just one goal and ten assists leaving him predictable and less dangerous than he should be for the Oilers.
As the season continues, head coach Kris Knoblauch must unlock McDavid's selfish side and get him to play more aggressive especially off of the rush.
If the Oilers cannot unlock this next level of their game as a team then they could be at risk of an early playoff exit instead of a Stanley Cup Final run.
