Kris Knoblauch calls out his players for lack of effort in loss to the Blues

After they lost last night to the St. Louis Blues, Edmonton Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch is calling out the overall effort of the team after not liking what he saw on the ice.
The Edmonton Oilers lost last night to the St. Louis Blues, who by all indications, will not make the Stanley Cup Playoffs this year.
The Blues won 3-2 in OT when Robert Thomas scored the GWG; the Oilers lost what was a 2-0 lead.
Kasperi Kapanen and Connor McDavid helped the Oilers to their 2-0 lead, but the Blues scored twice in the final 10 minutes of the third with goals from Pius Suter and Cam Fowler.
Thomas, who was not traded at the deadline after all despite his name being heavily embroiled in trade rumours, scored the GWG. This came after a blowout loss to the Dallas Stars.
Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch called out the effort of his players, clearly unhappy with what he saw and how things finished.
Not enough.....The positive is that we played some pretty good hockey at points. The first two games of the road trip were really good. The Dallas game? No. And most of the game tonight was good but not all of it. - Kris Knoblauch
Oilers Players Were Upset After The Loss
Kapanen, who scored during the OT loss to the Blues, said that the loss "sucks".
It sucks right now, but we just have to forget this one and move on. This trip as a whole has been a positive one. We obviously would have wanted two points today and our game (in Dallas) certainly wasn't our best, but it's certainly better than it has been of late. - Kasperi Kapanen
The Oilers next play the Predators at home.
