In the aftermath of Sam Bennett's collision with Stuart Skinner, a former Oilers defenseman has called out Bennett for his dirty antics.

In the first period of Game 2, Sam Bennett made dangerous contact with Stuart Skinner leading the Oilers goaltender to have an injury scare.
The contact made to Skinner's upper-body caused a crowd from both teams to form as the Oilers came to defend their goaltender.
Bennett was given a two-minute minor for goaltender interference on the play while Skinner ended up staying in the game for the Oilers.
This was the second incident involving Bennett in Game 2 after he slashed Mattias Ekholm earlier in the period.
These are just a pair of the several incidents involving Bennett throughout the playoffs and now former Edmonton Oiler Ryan Whitney has had enough.

Ryan Whitney Rips Into Sam Bennett For Multiple Dirty Plays

On X after the goaltender interference penalty, Whitney went on a rage induced rant calling out Bennett for being a dirty player and the tactics he uses to hide his antics.
Whitney's frustrations toward Bennett are shared by many around the hockey world who believe Bennett plays a dirty style and needs to be held accountable for his actions.
While it is unlikely that the NHL's Department of Player Safety gets involved it wouldn't be surprising to see the Oilers take justice against Bennett into their own hands.
As the series continues, it will be fascinating to see how this dynamic plays out.
