Tonight a new report from Elliotte Friedman has indicated that former Edmonton Oilers GM Ken Holland is nearing a deal to once again be in charge. In the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs the Edmonton Oilers took down the Los Angeles Kings eliminating them from Stanley Cup contention. The disappointing series loss for the Kings was enough for ownership to feel a change was necessary at the highest levels of the organization. Shortly after the series ended, the Los Angeles Kings parted ways with GM Rob Blake and began a new search for a replacement.

Loading from Twitter ...

Since then the Kings have conducted interviews with several candidates and have now reportedly settled on former Oilers GM Ken Holland as Blake's replacement.
Los Angeles Kings Reportedly Set To Hire Ken Holland As Their Next General Manager
According to a new report from NHL insider Elliotte Friedman, the Los Angeles Kings are deep in negotiations to make Ken Holland their next General Manager.

Loading from Twitter ...

Loading from Twitter ...

Holland has decades of experience running an NHL franchise first with the Detroit Red Wings dynasty of the 1990s and early 2000s and then more recently with the Edmonton Oilers. While his Oilers tenure was not as successful Holland's reputation has been enough to once again land him a front office role as long as all negotiations go well. It remains to be seen which version of Holland the Kings will get the one who carried the Red Wings to constant success or the one who failed to bring a highly talented Oilers team to the promised land. As this situation continues to develop we will pass along all of the latest details.
