Calvin Pickard was fantastic late in Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals, and now, he's set to take over the starters net once again in a pivotal Game 5. After a chaotic Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals, things roll on with Game 5 slated for Saturday night in Edmonton in what will be one of the biggest games in recent Stanley Cup Finals history. While the Oilers managed to come back from a 3-0 deficit in Game 4 to win in overtime, it wasn't all positive, as they once again had to pull Stuart Skinner after major struggles in Game's 3 and 4, and now, Kris Knoblauch has been left with a tough decision. Hours ahead of Game 5 and it appears as though he's made his choice, as Calvin Pickard is in the starters net for Edmonton at practice, meaning that after having such a stellar run, Skinner's struggles will cost him the opportunity to play in the biggest moment of the Oilers season.

Loading from Twitter ...

The Oilers turn to Pickard with confidence however, as he is 7-0 this post-season following an extended run after Skinner's early struggles, but after suffering an injury, Skinner took over and was brilliant until these last two games.

Loading from Twitter ...

Now, the Oilers look to maintain the momentum they built with their comeback in Game 4, but if there's anything we've learned from this series thus far, it's to expect the unexpected. On paper, this was the right move for the Oilers to make, as Skinner has not been fantastic at all in this series despite the Stanley Cup Finals being tied at 2-2, and while Pickard may not be a star in net, he's shown that he's more than capable of leading this team to their first Stanley Cup since 1990.
