Analyst Michael DeRosa has offered a potential trade between the divisional foes Vancouver Canucks and Edmonton Oilers resulting in Kiefer Sherwood being moved from British Columbia to Alberta.

There remain several questions for the Vancouver Canucks, who are on a hot streak after their trade of captain Quinn Hughes to the Minnesota Wild earlier this month.
There remain several players on the Canucks who have been listed as potential trade candidates, and per analyst Michael DeRosa, one such piece could be moved to the divisional foe Oilers.
In his trade proposal, Kiefer Sherwood, who has been heavily talked about in trade rumours, gets traded to the Oilers for Mattias Janmark, and two draft picks.
Oilers Get:

Kiefer Sherwood

Canucks Get:

2027 First-Round Pick
2026 Seventh-Round Pick
Mattias Janmark

So far this year, Sherwood has 20 points (16G, 4A), and Janmark has six points (1G, 5A).
Janmark has one more season left on his contract with an AAV (average annual value) of $1,450,000, and Sherwood is in the last year of his deal with an AAV of $1.5 million.

The Canucks Are Reportedly Listening To Offers On Veteran Players

The Canucks have already made a monumental and franchise-altering trade, trading captain Quinn Hughes to the Minnesota Wild and getting multiple pieces in return, including a first round pick in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft.
Since the trade, the Canucks have gone a perfect 4-0, a scenario that not many would have expected.
But per a report from NHL analyst Elliotte Friedman, the Canucks are still willing to listen to offers on some of their veteran players.
According to several sources, the Vancouver Canucks have let it be known that - in an effort to get younger - they are willing to listen to offers on 'veteran players.'

What it does appear to mean is potential UFAs and potentially a player or two with term, but the Canucks have also indicated they do not desire to tear it right down to the studs. - Elliotte Friedman

As the NHL trade deadline approaches it will be interesting to see which of these rumors turn into reality.
