Tonight, a new report has placed Montreal Canadiens forward Kirby Dach as the prime offseason target for Stan Bowman and the Edmonton Oilers.
The Edmonton Oilers endured a disappointing season failing to make it out of the first round leading to a plea for change from fans.
Change was immediately enacted with the firing of head coach Kris Knoblauch but many fans are hoping to see a change to the forward group to give support to Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl.
A new report from Renaud Lavoie has suggested the Edmonton Oilers will look to target Montreal Canadiens forward Kirby Dach via trade this summer.

Dach has reportedly been unhappy with his role and usage in Montreal since arriving in a blockbuster trade from the Chicago Blackhawks.
With Dach looking for a change of scenery, Edmonton seems like a natural fit as the team already employs his younger brother Colton and could use scoring help.
I understand that he has had difficulties with the Canadiens, but he has a value in this league and I am convinced that there will be teams interested in his services if Montreal ever decides to compromise him. He is a very famous guy in Western Canada, a guy from the Edmonton area. We know him very well, he does not forget that his brother was traded to the Oilers.
Dach, 25, brings an impressive 6'4 frame with excellent skating for his size but has struggled to translate offense from the junior ranks to the pro game.
If the Oilers believe he still has the talent to produce offensively they could bring him in for cheap and look to revitalize his career much like how they did with Vasily Podkozlin after his arrival from Vancouver.
As the offseason gets under way, it will be fun to see if Dach is added to the Oilers target list or if they allow another team to take the gamble on him.
