Edmonton Oilers fan caught on camera with a wild goal celebration as the Oilers beat the Canucks
Last night the Edmonton Oilers and Vancouver Canucks went against one another in a division rivalry and the game produced a wild fan moment for the ages.
The Edmonton Oilers have struggled this season to find their groove stack wins on top of one another and last night the team was looking to finally get on the right track.
Lined up against the Vancouver Canucks the Edmonton Oilers needed a win desperately after back-to-back losses. The Oilers responded to the losing streak with a ton of urgency taking a 3-0 lead with goals from Leon Draisaitl, Corey Perry, and a big night from Mattias Janmark.
With the Edmonton Oilers up 3-0, the party was on for the players and the fans. One fan in particular decided to take things to the next level.
According to multiple fans at the game and a pair of videos taken, there was an Oilers fan in the crowd during the game who was drinking a beer from his shoe every time the team scored.
From all accounts, the fan did this for all 7 goals the Edmonton Oilers would go on to score and a new fan legend has been born.
While this fan is an absolute delight to see in the crowd ultimately the best thing to come out of last night is a convincing win for the Edmonton Oilers.
After the game captain Connor McDavid spoke about the win and what such a dominant performance could do for them going forward.
As Connor McDavid said the Edmonton Oilers are in a better spot that last season and just need to continue climbing in the standings and working their way back toward the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
