Connor McDavid's Wife Issues A Very Strong Message To Team USA With Her Latest Instagram Post

Edmonton Oilers' Connor McDavid's wife Lauren Kyle showed Team Canada love on her Instagram post before and after the 4 Nations Face-Off game between USA vs. Canada.

On Saturday, she posted a picture at the Bell Centre in Montreal, posing in front of her husband's Team Canada poster.

Kyle, as shown in the photo, had on a red jacket over a red top of the same shade, with brown pants and a belt. She was gazing upwards towards the poster of McDavid, with "Let's go Canada" scribbled over the face to psych up the team.

The game was intense itself, with a lively crowd helping in the atmosphere. McDavid opened the scoring, beating the net just 5:31 into the opening period on a smooth pass from Drew Doughty, gloving a backhander over Connor Hellebuyck.

Team USA responded at 10:15 when Jake Guentzel beat the pad of Jordan Binnington with a low shot, tying the game.

In the second, Dylan Larkin gave the U.S. a 2-1 lead at 13:33 with a blocker-side shot. In the third, Canada attempted to stage a comeback, but the Americans played stout defense, blocking shots and stifling scoring opportunities.

Guentzel scored the insurance marker with an empty-netter at 18:41 to secure the 3-1 victory for Team USA. Although McDavid had scored a goal early in the match, Canada lost.

That didn't stop Lauren from further rubbing in her husband's goal to the American squad, as she posted a video on her Instagram stories of her husband McDavid's glorious first goal, possibly sending the U.S. an indirect message of what's to come.

Their next match on Monday against Finland matters as it will give them another chance to meet the U.S. in the final.
