Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl miss Oilers practice sparking injury concerns for Game 4

This afternoon, the Edmonton Oilers have sparked concern for Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid as they both missed practice unexpectedly.
The Edmonton Oilers have dealt with injury issues all season long with key players missing significant stretches including Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid.
Luckily, heading into the Stanley Cup Playoffs both Draisaitl and McDavid were ready for game action leading many to believe they were healthy.
Unfortunately, McDavid seemingly suffered an ankle injury in Game 2 and has since not looked like himself causing concern for his ability to impact the game in key moments.
Now, with the Oilers having an off day they conducted practice and both McDavid and Draisaitl were absent.

During today’s Oilers skate both McDavid and Draisaitl were notably absent and with their recent injury history fans are now concerned.

Their absence sparked discussion about the health of both of the Oilers’ stars and how their status for Game 4 and beyond could be impacted.
After practice, head coach Kris Knoblauch spoke to the media and clarified that McDavid and Draisaitl missed today’s skate as a maintenance day.
This is good news for the Oilers as it seems even if they are not 100% both McDavid and Draisaitl will be in the lineup for a crucial Game 4 for the Oilers that could be a must win contest if Edmonton wants to win the series.
Over the next 24 hours before Game 4 puck drop, all eyes will be on McDavid and Draisaitl to see if anything changes with their game day routine or status.
