Paul Bissonnette fires back at Bruins GM Don Sweeney; continues intense war of words
Paul Bissonnette was called out by Bruins GM Don Sweeney, and now, the Spittin' Chiclets host has fired back at him.
Recently, the Spittin' Chiclets podcast reported some intriguing information regarding Jeremy Swayman and the Bruins negotiation, and while it wasn't refuted, it's safe to say that GM Don Sweeney wasn't a fan of that being made public.
"I think it's bullshit that somebody says I wouldn't return a call for three weeks. ... My son loves Biz, thinks he's fabulous. I think he's a great entertainer. But at the end of the day, it's inaccurate.
Unsurprisingly, given the comedic nature of the podcast, host Paul 'Biz' Bissonnette quickly fired back on social media, and while the first part of his post was clearly a joke, he didn't hold back when addressing Sweeney's comments.
What a fucking distraction. Back on Canadian soil trying to bring home a title and I'm getting called out because Swayman wants blood after last year's arbitration hearings. I DIDN'T EVEN REPORT IT.
Given that goaltender Jeremy Swayman is still without a new contract as training camp begins, there may be something to the report from the podcast, but for now, it appears the war of words won't be coming to an end anytime soon.
