On the airwaves of 98.5 FM, the Montreal Canadiens player development coach, Francis Bouillon, openly declared that things haven't recently been going well with one of the CH's most promising prospects, Joshua Roy.

"It hasn't always been positive conversations to be honest. You're never going to take away the talent, he's got incredible assets. He just needs to live his junior year right now." - Francis Bouillon

It can be difficult to return to your junior team after living the dream in a tournament as emotional as the World Junior Championship, where he was a key part of Team Canada's success. Perhaps the attitude was not optimal.

Sometimes young people have their heads in the sand when they still have a big season to play with their respective junior teams, and maybe that's what happened to Joshua.

As a good veteran and former NHL player, there's nothing better than receiving a clear statement from Francis Bouillon, setting the record straight for the Tricolore organization.

The development of a hopeful is not a long quiet river and this is the importance of having qualified personnel to use comfort or severity with young players, when the moment is necessary. This is very important for the long term good of the player and the organization.

Let's hope Roy gets the message and pulls up his sleeves to finish his junior career in style, especially since the Sherbrooke Phoenix have a legitimate chance to win the QMJHL championship and play in the Memorial Cup afterwards.
