Breaking: Canucks' Affiliate Team Adds a Woman to Their Roster

Mariah Fujimagari Joins Canucks Affiliate Team
Mariah Fujimagari, an accomplished 29-year-old goalie from AIK in Sweden's Women's league, has now found a new home with the ECHL's Kalamazoo Wings. The team recently welcomed her aboard with a PTO.
"Player signed to pro tryout by Kalamazoo Wings: G Mariah Fujimagari/@Fujimagoalie (1-11-0 w/ a 4.52 GAA & .877 SV% + a shutout in 14 GP for @AIKishockey [women's team] in the @SDHLse [Sweden] last season). She's played pro for the last six seasons including four in North America."

Possible Game-Changer for the Kalamazoo Wings
Standing tall at 5'11", Fujimagari could be a game-changer for the K-Wings. As the roster currently showcases Hunter Vorva as their number one goaltender, the addition of Fujimagari hints at the team's future dynamics. The team's head coach, Joel Martin, shared his admiration for her prowess, stating,
"Mariah is an athletic goaltender that battles on every shot and reads the play well"
Reflecting on her new journey, Fujimagari mentioned,
"I couldn't be happier to join the K-Wings. I'm going to make sure to set the tone from the start with a solid performance every day. I'm most excited to be a part of the Kalamazoo community and skate in front of the amazing fans."
