A former member of the Canadiens organization has just identified their biggest nuisance, and his words are very harsh towards Brendan Gallagher

Marc Bergevin had already given him a lucrative six-year contract at 6.5 million per season, a contract that Kent Hughes now has to manage. According to former NHL player and Trois-Rivières Lions coach Éric Bélanger, he's simply a liability to the team.
I think we'll try to accommodate him at the start of the year. He'll start on a third line to see what he can give us. Gallagher is not the same and has no stamina. He's doing 12-second shifts and he's burned, he's got the stick in his lap. It's okay for him to say he's going to score 30 goals, and I hope he does, but he's 31. He's a ball and chain, and he could be a veteran doing the baboon in the bedroom."

Number 11 said he felt "in shape" to score 30 goals, but that's hard to believe, given that he's scored 15 in two seasons. As for the grumbling in the room, I don't believe a word of it. Gally is a leader and a team player, you can't take that away from him.
I really hope he can find his touch again. A Gallagher in full swing is an important player on the ice.
